Imagine a talent show, just for puppets? The stakes are high as internationally acclaimed South African ventriloquist Conrad Koch wants his puppets to compete to be the very best, but that pariah, Chester Missing, never does what he is told. Chester spits the honest unfiltered truth.
Laugh your choochas off at Gunter the German mosquito’s xylophone playing, Hilton the dramatic ostrich trying his hand at singing, DJ Hoodie the puppet who actually DJs, Mr Dixon the high school teacher attempting to out do Conrad himself at ventriloquism, Paul die Krokodil, and a surprise guest appearance by human puppets from the front row.
The best part is that you, the audience, get to judge as each puppet makes Conrad’s problems worse. A hilarious night out for the whole family. Directed by Christo Davids.
Chester’s Got Talent won the prestigious Gold Ovation Award at the 2026 National Arts Festival.
